Michael has been working as a massage therapist since 2006, when he graduated from the 2,200-hour program at ICT Northumberland College in Halifax. He brings nearly two decades of clinical experience to every session, from acute post-injury recovery to long-standing tension patterns that haven't responded to other care.
In 2010 he completed three years of the five-year osteopathic program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, which dramatically expanded the toolkit he brings to massage therapy. The osteopathic lens means he reads the body as a connected system, a tight shoulder might be coming from the diaphragm, a recurring low back ache might trace to old visceral restrictions.
Michael's modalities include Swedish and deep-tissue massage, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilizations, visceral manipulation, lymphatic drainage, prenatal and postnatal massage, sports massage, and aromatherapy. Whether you're after relaxation, post-injury recovery, or hands-on help for something stubborn, Michael will tailor the session to where you actually are.
