What it is

Care that meets your changing body.

Pregnancy is a load test on your spine, pelvis, and connective tissue. Up to two-thirds of pregnancies involve meaningful low back or pelvic girdle pain at some point, and the right conservative care can make the difference between toughing it out and actually enjoying the months you're in.

Pre/postnatal care here uses pregnancy-safe positioning (side-lying, pregnancy pillows, no prone work past first trimester), gentle joint mobilization rather than high-velocity adjustments, soft-tissue release, and a small daily mobility plan that supports the changing pelvis.

  • Safe at every trimester when delivered by a trained practitioner
  • Gentle mobilization-first technique, never aggressive thrusts during pregnancy
  • Day-to-day mechanics coaching: how to roll, lift, and sleep without flaring things
What it helps

The pregnancy presentations we treat most.

Pelvic girdle pain

SI joint and pubic symphysis pain, the classic 'walking hurts' presentation. Highly responsive to focused care.

Pregnancy back pain

Diffuse low back ache from postural shift and ligament laxity. Eases with gentle mobility work + supportive exercise.

Round ligament & rib flare

Sharp pulling on the side of the belly or aching ribs from a shifted diaphragm. Soft tissue release usually settles it.

What's included

Every pre/postnatal session covers these.

Treatment plans flex with your trimester, your symptoms, and your goals. Here's what you can expect from the visit itself.

  • Pregnancy-safe positioning (side-lying, pregnancy pillows)
  • Gentle mobilization and soft-tissue release
  • Pelvic girdle assessment and (if needed) SI belt fitting
  • Daily mobility plan, short, specific, comfortable to do at home
  • Sleep position, rolling, and getting-out-of-the-car coaching
  • Direct billing to most major insurers

Post-partum

The recovery plan starts when you're ready.

The post-partum body has its own set of needs: a stretched-out abdominal wall (sometimes diastasis), weakened pelvic floor and core, shoulders strained from feeding, and a fatigue level that limits how much rehab work you can realistically do.

Our post-partum plan starts wherever you are. We screen for diastasis, prioritize the foundational core and pelvic floor work, and build progression at a pace that fits new-parent reality. Most patients see meaningful improvement in 4–8 visits.

What patients say

A few words from people we've helped get back to what they love.

Steps from College station and they direct-bill my insurance, so it's an easy visit. Real assessment, no pressure, and a plan I could actually follow at home.

I saw Dr. Clarke through my pregnancy for pelvic pain. Gentle, knowledgeable, and reassuring the whole way. It made a real difference to how I felt day to day.

Booked for a running gait analysis before a half marathon. The video breakdown of my stride was eye-opening and the exercises sorted out the knee pain that kept derailing my training.
