Tension headaches
One of the strongest evidence bases for acupuncture. Trigger-point release in the upper neck and shoulders can dramatically reduce headache frequency.
Contemporary medical acupuncture for musculoskeletal pain, headaches, and trigger-point dysfunction. Performed by a chiropractor with formal acupuncture training.

Contemporary medical acupuncture uses thin needles inserted at neuroanatomically-relevant points to influence the nervous system, reduce trigger-point activity, and modulate pain signalling. It's grounded in modern neuroscience, not traditional Chinese medicine theory.
Dr. Lisa Clarke is certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture through McMaster University. Sessions integrate seamlessly with chiropractic care, often layered into a single visit when the case calls for it.
One of the strongest evidence bases for acupuncture. Trigger-point release in the upper neck and shoulders can dramatically reduce headache frequency.
Especially for chronic muscle tension and trigger points that haven't responded to manual therapy alone.
Often a useful adjunct when chronic low back pain has plateaued with chiropractic care alone. Targets specific trigger-point patterns.

Most patients are surprised by how minimal the sensation is. The needles are very thin (much thinner than the ones used for blood draws), and the most common feeling is a brief 'twitch' or warmth as the needle is inserted near a trigger point. Once placed, you rest with the needles in for 10–20 minutes.
Some patients feel changes immediately, particularly headache patients. Most need 3–5 sessions to see meaningful, lasting results.

A few words from people we've helped get back to what they love.
“Steps from College station and they direct-bill my insurance, so it's an easy visit. Real assessment, no pressure, and a plan I could actually follow at home.”
“I saw Dr. Clarke through my pregnancy for pelvic pain. Gentle, knowledgeable, and reassuring the whole way. It made a real difference to how I felt day to day.”
“Booked for a running gait analysis before a half marathon. The video breakdown of my stride was eye-opening and the exercises sorted out the knee pain that kept derailing my training.”
